State of Emergency declared in Nebraska

Outbreak of suicide expected.
WOW, they must be resigned to the fact their program is a dumpster fire and the glory days are history. I almost feel sorry for Husker fans.

form of perennial contender status. They killed their program by abandoning the Big 12's (or 8 or whatever # it was at the time) natural rivalry and recruiting zone for the B1G, where they're an outlier. They're in no-mans-land from a recruiting standpoint now and forevermore, both for players and coaches. They sold out to the almighty dollar but good. It won't be long before they recall with warm memories when they were consistent 9-game winners under Pellini.

re-alignment, their division is awful:
Minnesota - Traditionally Awful Iowa - Traditionally Mediocre Northwestern - Traditionally Awful Illinois - Traditionally Awful Purdue - Traditionally Awful Wisconsin - Pretty good
It's not like they're facing Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan or Michigan State every year.
The Big Ten money grab screwed them and their fans.

apart like a PhD thesis.
I see that they won a National Championship in 1960 and then some from before WWII. Since that national championship they are rockin' a .454 win percentage. Since 1991, they are at about .42. I think that's pretty awful, but I definitely see what you're saying. Historically, they have had much success. Mediocre in recent history, perhaps?
I think my point still stands. Nebraska's division is awful.

Florida Atlantic, McNeese State, Miami, Illinois, Rutgers, Purdue, Minnesota
With schedules like that, their home game sellout streak will be in trouble soon.

I really don't understand the Mike Riley hire. I don't see how he is going to win more than Pelini there.

He's going from coaching in the toughest conference in the country to the worst P5 conference in the country. Might take Nebraska to the next level.

He'd be about #### near perfect for Nebraska. Can get a lot out of 2-3 star kids and with Nebraska's option history - it would have lined up well with fan base.
