I think it really depends on a couple of things:

do they want a Saban disciple who may be willing to try to keep things going and is there a long term assistant coach who fits that

do they want a lifer

do they want a guy who is a top coach but may not be Saban disciple and may want to do things differently

Yep. Big question is do they want someone who is going to stay 17 years or someone who will be 3-4 years and out, regardless of record.
