The records of our weak ACC sister schools and Clemson's

Jun 26, 2012, 8:53 PM

soft OOC schedules are going to seriously hurt our chances of making it to the playoffs. We've got to play more Auburns and Georgias and less Furmans and Ball States more.

I believe we are lined up to play 2 sec schools ever year for awhile.

Schedules change every year. I wouldn't set that in stone until its offical (outside of the two years of playing UGA and Carolina every year).

I wouldn't doubt if one or both drops the game. It would hurt with scheduling but really both of those teams are not that elite

"weak ACC sisters." Remember State tanned our butts last year and before that Maryland had our number. We need to take care of business and forget what FSU and others might do. We still have a long way to go.

I agree. I think we all need to chill about both our strength of schedule in the upcoming years (could be stronger, but not terrible) and more importantly, the possible scenario of an undefeated/one loss ACC team being left out of the new playoff.

An ACC team hasn't finished the season with less than 3 losses since MARYLAND in 2001. Lets cross that bridge when we come to it people - if we or another ACC school finish the regular season undefeated or with one loss, raise hell THEN. But to speculate now that you "know" an undefeated/one loss ACC team is left out without knowing even the context of the season is just a waste of time.

Personally I think an undefeated ACC team is a shoe-in for the top 4, and I think a one-loss ACC champ has an argument, but then it completely comes down to the context of the other one-loss teams too - so we'll see.
