Tailgating question

Will a directtv genie mini work at a tailgate setup if I have an older directtv dish? Will a genie even work at all while tailgating?

work off the the main Genie. Got the upgrade letter from DirecTv a few weeks ago but haven't upgraded. I think you will have to use the main unit to tailgate.

From what I understand after doing research, the Genie will NOT work for tailgating with an older dish. My understanding is that only HR-24 receivers and older will work with them.

The Genie Mini will not work, it has no tuner. All the tuners are located in the Genie. The Genie will not work with the old dish, you must have a Slimline dish with a SWM LNB.
