Stamford player's obvious disdain for Colorado portal

players. I just read this in a news article about Stanford's comeback on Colorado after being behind 29-0 at halftime. Offensive lineman, Fisher Anderson, had this powerful statement. "A few thoughts on last night: Good always wins out, no matter how bleak it looks," Anderson wrote. "When Coach Taylor got hired, he told everyone to stay and believe; Coach Prime told everyone to leave. We are program builders; they are mercenaries. I believe in Stanford football; you should too."

Perhaps we could use a little bit of this type of positivity about our program instead of crying about not using the portal.

This is the exact thing Coach Swinney has been trying to say to everyone. You as players matter. Building a genuine program matters. Mercenaries (portal players) are not really Clemson players, they are just hired guns that don't give a crap about Clemson, its traditions, its fans, none of it.

I believe in Clemson football. Do you?

Good post. I like comparing the paid transfers to mercenaries. Mercenaries don’t care for what country they are fighting for as long as they get their pay. They will switch sides in the middle of the game if someone offers more.
