Sounds like a really great family

A solid thinking teen usually comes from some really good parents.
Looks like Swinney does a great job of reaching out to the parents/family as well as the player. It's great that they host the family members too. The parents/grandparents get to see and hear what their child hears and can help in making a good choice for the teen and the whole family. I'm glad that Clemson appears to do their best to reach out to all types of families to help them make the best decision for their child's long term future.
The media does a really bad job of making it look like so many players and families are only chasing the $$$. Many are. But many are not.

Texas A$M aggies have been trying to buy their way into national relevance since before any of you were born and you act like Clemson alumni are impoverished.

Sounds a lot like what Cade had to say regarding NIL.

Agree but I wonder about kids that come from bad situations where they might not have the basics of food, shelter, etc. could not blame them for looking for the ??

Of course not every player or recruit is looking for fast NIL cash. NIL will be there for many athletes but many more will receive nothing or next to nothing.

In this day when money seems to be all that matters in this supposedly amateur sport, it is good to hear a young man who put value in things that promise longer term benefit, even if there is less short term gain. Delayed gratification has always been a sign of maturity. Clemson will need to find other mature men willing to look to something more than the Almighty Dollar, but those athletes have always been the men Dabo has sought and been able to recruit.
