Something ruined my entire corn crop.

I had 50 Ambrosia (beautiful white kernel corn) plants going and had only torn one ear open to see what they looked like. Went out this morning and found half the plants down and most of the ears gone.
Any idea what creature would do this?

I lost a lot of time trying to die.

My potassium level dropped to 3.0 and it took two trips to the hospital and a heart cath to prove to me that I wasn't. That delayed my planting for almost two months. It frosted on the mountain here on April 15. Your frame of referrence may be different than mine because of that too.

I drank nothing but G-Force for three weeks before I discovered a 1/4 cup of rasins has three times the K than a bottle of that crap.
I've learned a valuable throughout all this, I'm old!

You'll not get your share of the liquid corn product this year for sure.

My first thought was deer.
Sep 5, 2013, 3:33 PM

Then, I took notice that half the stalks were broken down. I don't deer would make that much of a mess. The corn ears were shucked as well as I could have shucked them so I'm down to coons I recond.
The real dissapointment here is the Blue Tick hound that showed up a few months ago. Evidently, he slept through the entire thing.

Devil Monkey is an interesting theory. Tracks of Bigfoot would also be interdasting.
Reckon a rampant bear could be in the neighborhood?

Could be crop circles but I'd have to do a fly over to be sure.
