So if a Super Bowl team's QB is injured during the conf champ game

or, let's say he is injured afterwards during SB practice. Are we ok with the losing team getting placed into the Super Bowl?
It seems that way.
For the record, despite what you may think of him, Ray Lewis and the Raven's defense won their Super Bowl. You don't even remember the name of Baltimore's QB. Right, you'll have to look it up.

Vegas spreads on the game tell you what you need to know. UGA blows out the Noles.

Because playing the games in the first place...

...gave the CFP committee the data to make the decision they made. If no one plays the games, then there is no data available to make their subjective picks. Like it or not, its the system we have in college football. You are right not to like it. FSU and Liberty should both get a shot at the playoffs.

The committee used eye test bullcrap over metrics and data.

Given what the committee said, yes that is correct. But in the NFL , it would have never come to that bc FSU would have been considered a "division winner" which is an automatic bid to the NFL playoffs. There is no "beauty pageant" ambiguous criteria that the teams are judged on, its objective based

Apples to Oranges

The NFL only uses objective wins vs losses to determine who advances into the playoffs and on to the super bowl. College football has always used some form of subjectivity to determine the final #1 team or who gets to play in the BCS (despite other undefeated division 1 football teams - think Auburn 2004), or the CFP 4-team playoff.

Boise State and TCU should have gotten shots during the BCS era based on an objective wins vs losses method, but that doesn't exist in college football. It also doesn't exist in the 4 team CFP era. There are no automatic bids and being an undefeated P5 team is irrelevant. There are no automatic bids.

an NFL fan should know the name Trent Dilfer, who REALLY was the Ravens QB you are referring to. He is the meme for any team that wins without a quarterback.
