know, and you're talking about buying a car or something. Friend talks about the great deal he got, how happy he is with the car, etc. And then as he's talking, you realize he paid WAY too much for the car, and it has less options than your similar model of the same car you got at another dealership. And then the friend starts qualifying what he had previously said, clearly uncomfortable acknowledging the fact he got ripped off?

This is the situation the Republican party is in today. It's kind of a sad thing. You feel bad for your friend because he got ripped off, and you hope he goes to your dealer the next time for his next car, but the friend then ghosts you because he is embarassed........

This is the GOP in 2023.
