Never understood "pulling for your conference" thing. Chanting ACC ACC ACC or SEC SEC SEC puzzles me. As long as my team wins, I could care less about how the rest of the conference does. All of these homers chant this but why? Its not like they are getting a share of a title or banner or anything like that.

Because they get a lot of $$$ and "prestige" for it. The conferences share all of the bowl earnings among all conference schools. The bigger the entire pie, the bigger each slice is.

And it is brainwashed via ESPN. Don't get me wrong, you do need your conference to succeed; however, it is gone to a whole new level. I keep hearing commentators (while smirking) say team A, B, C, D, and E from the SEC are elite and could have easily been in the national championship. No, you retards, they are only there b/c of your homerism.
