seating question

Jul 24, 2012, 7:52 AM

Anyone ever sat down on the first row of the lower level, say like section m or n? Is that far down enough that the away team is not completely in your way and are these seats annoying because they are just not high enough? Row H was the lowest I have ever had seats. Thanks in advance. Go Tigers!

I have....

and while you're up high enough to see over the opposing teams head, the sight lines to the left and right just aren't very good IMO. It's difficult to see the plays from about the 25 yard line inward toward each goal line. Some people like sitting down that low. Personally, I do not. That said, it does afford the unique opportunity to hear the coaches of the opposing team talking to their players between offensive and defensive series.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I have once--I was in the first row of section N or O. You can see over the team to watch the game except when the play comes down the sideline. It's very hard to see the ball sometimes, so often you can't tell what play's being run; it's difficult to see the whole play developing too. Finally it can be tough to see what's going on in the end zones. All that being said, they're still pretty great seats. I don't know if I'd want to sit there every game, but I enjoyed doing it once. When the plays get close, they get REALLY close and it's almost like being on the sidelines yourself. It can be quite a thrill. Punt and kickoff returns are especially fun.

My seats are low

My seats are pretty low (Row E) on the home side. I'm not exactly sure where section M is but if it is behind the team they will block your view if you "sit" on the first row. Basically from my seat I "lose" about 15 ft of the field because the team is between me and the action. I used to sit on row B and it was much worse. At about row F or so is where the team isn't much of a problem. I like my seat (though wish they were 1 row higher). It gives you a different perspective of things. I just resign myself that I can't take pictures when the play is on my sideline (and I take LOTS of pictures at the games).

All that said, I'm not sure I'd want to "sit" on the first row (most people on that row aren't able to actually sit). You also have to deal with people walking in front of you (at least that is the case on my side of the field).

To me the best seats in the house are on top row of lower deck on home side. You actually get shade from the press box. Plus you can see great.
