Ruby Tuesday in North Augusta, SC refused service to a couple because he was wearing a Clemson shirt. Help spread the word and let them know how we really feel about that. I will NEVER spend money there again.

First, how dumb of RT or the local manager.
Second, who cares? They are not the only place to get a meal in N. Augusta.
Third, this is exactly how all forms of discrimination should be taken care - talk about those doing wrong and let the market decide. Retail and public establishments which have a bad attitude will not likely last long.

It is not a protected class. I know this because I asked HR once if I could not hire a qualified candidate just because he went to USuCk. I was told that does not violate any laws. Also, if you went there you aren't going to be qualified from the start anyway.

I am the one this happened to. The young manager took her jokes too far. When my wife and I gave her several opportunities to stop and she continued. I do believe she was joking. Truthfully this thing has gotten out of hand. We left before she could seat us, we were not refused. I am a pastor and a former player, and the regional manager has taken care of this. In no way shape or form did we want this to get to this point.
