Fully agree.
Gasoline taxes should be used solely for highway / road / bridge / tunnel infrastructure.
Also … Looking forward to when chargers of EV batteries are tagged with taxes to pay for the EVs’ use of highways.

for candidates. Usually it's because they made some dumb, sweeping statement while campaigning, which of course they couldn't follow up on once elected due to practical limitations and circumstances. My view is really to just ignore when they make impossible-to-keep "promises". Like a candidate saying they would never raise taxes would not get any added support from me because they say that. I'd just ignore it as campaign-speak. I'd focus more on if they have a history of words and actions supporting lower taxes and spending.
It's really the only practical way to view candidates, because they all do this while campaigning.

I some of y'all have a hard time determining between telling lies and changing one's mind.
Again, you left out that she wanted to lower the income tax in conjunction with the gas tax. You know what that does? Eases SC residents while taxing tourists.
