The use of stem cells in medicine has really progressed. I had skin cancer on my nose and when they finished the surgery they then used stem cells to grow back the skin. Previously it would have required a skin graft. Tho doctor said the use of stem cells was less than 5 years old as a technique. The only problem I had was the nurses wouldn't run the tape far enough off my nose, so it kept coming loose. I would have to retape it.
