Remember Jeff Scott's fake field goal run?

Nov 30, 2014, 9:52 PM

He did a good job as the holder and that play was pretty cool. Can't remember who we were playing.

Yes, for a TD, he could scoot.

that play as a player, right? If Dabo thinks he deserves a shot and both are aligned on what they want to do, then I am behind it 100%. One of the problems with Napier was he and Dabo weren't on the same page.

Scott may be an outstanding assistant, and may be up to becoming our next
OC. My concern is that, as one of the top programs in the country, we won't
seek out the very best OC there, and pay him what we need to. And I don't
think he necessarily has to be on "the same page" as Dabo, who is a great
recruiter and head coach. He's inspiring, but he is NOT an excellent play
caller. Otherwise, why would we need an OC? I say go after the OC at one
of the most prolific offenses in the country. The guy at East Carolina comes to
mind. Imagine what he could do with the talent we have here.
