Thats my question! Which coach makes the decision to pooch or kick away? We had the wind at our back and every kick off, even the ones into the wind had made it into the endzone. They had only returned a couple of the kicks and had not made it to the 25 on either return. But yet we spot them 20+ yds with a pooch kick with a 22 point lead and the wind at our back. It makes no sense to me.
UNC has been dangerous on special teams. The pooch kick gives up a few yards but it puts the ball in the hands of a slower, bigger player and out of the hands of the playmakers who can take it all he way back for a quick score
