Why is an 8-5 Auburn team ranked #7?

Or an 8-5 LSU team ranked #13? Or a 7-6 Arkansas team ranked #20?

And the players those teams have coming back I would say those rankings are not far off.
LSU will be decent. Auburn should be a top 15 team. And the hogs have shown a lot of growth w their new coach.

You have a very tough schedule. Please beat the coots though.

each year we have to play two SEC West schools. This year we drew Bama and Auburn. So I'm thinking 9-10 wins would be nice but I don't see it as a playoff season. Hard to get 18 year olds up for that many games

Bama is a tough draw though, but at least it's at home. And you win that and your in the NC discussion for sure.

The mighty sec, the mighty super conference, SEC. An 8-4 sec team can fit in the top 10. Don't you remember when the best teams in the sec west were beating each other up about every week. It ended up that they were forced to rank the coots that had and beat 4 gravy teams that season, and ended up being crowned as the 4th ranked team in the country. They really believed they were the undisputed 4th ranked team in the country. And they didn't have to play Bama, LSU, or Aubarn that season. I'm not at all surprised that Aubarn is ranked #7. I'm more shocked that they aren't ranked lower than that actually.!!! Goooo SEC Super conference

They were ranked #6 in last years preseason AP Poll

Two out the three SEC teams ranked in the preseason top-10 last year went on to barely break even. Seems to happen every year (Florida 2013 top-10, finished 4-8; Arkansas 2012 top-10, finished 4-8...)

The sports writers in SEC states will greatly

Over rank SEC teams, they're very klanish. Auburn only returns four starters from last year's team, and it was the strength of their team. The Auburn defense was awful last year and we are to believe a coaching change will fix all of those problems. It wasn't like their fired defensive coach was bad coach ,it was Ellis Johnson. It's all based on nothing other than hype.

You can ask the same thing about ole siss and Tennessee. Tim Brando picked his final 4 last night on Football Saturdays. He has OSU,TCU, USC and a 2 loss Alabama team. And he has Alabama winning it all.

Auburn = great recruiting classes; not long, removed from,BCS championship game that they very narrowly lost; people like Gus' wardrobe. Gus also is prercieved nationally as a type of genius.
Arkansas = voters want to see a guy from the Big10 succeed in the SEC. Fun to see a throw back running team these days.
I'm ok with these rankings since, both teams are 0-0

In my own opinion I think all teams should be unranked until the first week of the season is over. But then again preseason rankings don't really matter to me that much either.
