Great for Zach! I was never impressed with Ted Roof's defenses!

Yeah I knew Zac at clemson. He was in the same crew with Goodwin. Good guy. Knows his stuff. There’s one more guy who I can’t remember his name but was in that crew. Wonder what he’s doing now.

I think that also goes to show that when a graduate assistant is getting his training under a coordinator like a Brent Venables, if you work your but off for them and learn everything they can teach you in the short time that grad asst are usually with a coordinator, just maybe you'll be that lucky one to get a chase to work for that same coordinator somewhere as his coordinator, as Zac Alley will get with BV.

Family Plan? Hiring a young, relatively inexperienced Snipperwhapper he mentoreed at CLEMSON to be his new DC? He better hope Oklahoma fans are more tolerant than Clemson fans, or he will be drawn and quartered over this hire before the season even starts next year. ESPECIALLY since the difficulty of the schedule is "ratcheting up" due to their move to the Mighty SEC. Whoa is them, for shore. Gloom, Dispair, and Agony on He.

You sure you don't mean whippersnapper? Never heard of a snipperwhapper before. Either way, whippersnapper reminds me of my Grandmother, she would say that. Man I miss that lady. Sorry for the rambling. Go Tigers!!

I could be wrong, but I believe that BV is smart enough to know what could happen if he got it wrong. I think he brought in someone that he believes is capable of doing things the way that he done them with some assistance from him along the way.
It was Zac Alley that he remembered that could do that from the progress that he's made at his other jobs. Given the time, we will most likely see BV #2 in the making, and Oklahoma would have taken BV back in a heartbeat as their #1 DC after his first few years at Clemson when they saw all that he had done with his defenses at Clemson. Most of the time having the best that you can get takes a little time to prepare your surroundings as BV hopes to do by bringing in someone that he believes will do things as he done them. Someone that wasn't set in their ways and wouldn't accept any new ideas that I'm sure he found out to be a fact with Roof.
If he got the approval from his AD to bring Alley in and put the finishing touches on him, they will give him the time to do that. If not, he will be another one of Dabo's that didn't make it as a HC.

CBV is starting his own " Friends and Family Plan ". Let's sit back and see how this works out. It should be interesting to see how long the OU faithful will be patient to see if the results are positive. If it doesn't work out, he may be available to come back to Clemson sooner than we think.

Personally I like players AND coaches who play like their hair is on fire! Our Tigers need a few players who play like there is no tomorrow! Boulware comes to mind!

Why have so many started to worry so much about what JK does or says. I think you could better serve this site with your own opinions or beliefs without trying to put words that you want to think is coming from someone else's mouth. To be the man, you have to first be a man, man up with your own words and beliefs...

Well at least BV knows how Zac helped him and probably was following his progress so should be a good hire.

OU needs a major upgrade there since they finished 80th in overall defense. I still can’t believe they beat us, but usually bring their best game when they see burnt orange.
