I actually saw a guy wearing a shirt that said “Can of Woopaz” at tailgate before a home game. I asked wear I can get one and he said that Woodaz will have a link on his instagram bio soon.

I see lots of great plays in his future.
Can he play wildcat QB, too?

Woodaz is going to be one of the best defensive players we will have for the next couple of years. Really hoping Covil Jr stays as well I think he had the potential to be one of the best safeties to ever come through Clemson

Could Woodaz be at the level of Boulware or Skalski, or better?

More like Isiah Simmons, versatile. I don’t know if he is as fast. Not a head knocking Boulware or Skalski. More of a quick hitter on a Blitz or in pass coverage. Still he looks solid and looks special. We shall see.
Go Tigers!

He's a better athlete than both without question. Seems to have really good instincts which IMO is what made both of them good players along with a nasty mean streak and heart.
I was surprised though to see Woodaz playing significant snaps so early in his career. I expected him to be a quality depth guy pretty much his entire time at Clemson. I think we've already seen there's more to him than that.

I remember right before Venables left, he got a tip on the guy as being under the radar. Dabo, Venables, and Wes were moving towards the direction of changing their linebacker strategy. Most likely Wes 's idea. Anyway, as we know, CBV took the okc job. He went after Woodaz hard. He wanted him bad in okc. Wish I knew the details on what finally pulled him up here... but I'm glad he did.
So, no I'm not surprised at all. A little shocked he had to contribute so fast. Didn't realize we were that thin. Fortunately for us he was just a late bloomer, didn't camp much etc. He would easily have been a 4*. Probably high 4 given more exposure. A lot like the guys we found in 13, 14, and 15 cycles.

Love Woodaz, but those other guys started almost every game. How did he win that award over them?

I think there is a defensive and offensive award for freshmen.
