I was a little worried about Klubnik’s arm strength when I watched his film, seems that the ball floats a little. After watching more of his film, it doesn’t concern me at all. He has great touch on the ball which is very hard to teach, and if you go back and watch Joe Burrow, his passes floated al over the field, he just timed them perfectly and would drop them in over LBs and under safeties. There is a lot to like about this kid and I have high hopes for him.
I also LOVE Covil’s film. He punishes people and is very fast. Is it in bad taste to give him number 19 so we can call him COVIL-19????

I guess that's it for the day unless there is a surprise or two... Need to push for unsigned players and hit the portal to fill our open Scholarships. I am sure coaches are already working on that, but the timing of the coaching changes really hurt the class. Can't remember a class with no DL signees.

For as many kids who have gone to portal or recommitted, there are just as many that have done the same from other schools. Time to get those guys to switch here. Get used to free agency just like happens in the pros. Clemson has an extremely attractive brand and the best HC. There is still a load of talent and the Tigers will be in contention once again next year and kids need to know that.

12 recruits? and two are kickers? Seems like our recruiters took the year off. Better hire a portal coord ASAP

We did have 3 decommits after CBV moved to Oklahoma. That hurt the class size and ranking. And was too late to recover from before signing day; we'll have to work the phones for uncommitted players and the portal.

Definitely not our normal class in terms of star power.

Average star rating according to the TigerNet stars is about 3.4. However, that does include an unranked punter, a 2 star kicker, and a couple of offensive linemen, all of whom tend to drag down average star ratings.
Getting 5 star Klubnik is obviously huge. We can't underestimate the importance of keeping him despite losing our offensive coordinator just last week.
It also seems that we have some really talented high 4 star guys in this class.
As others have stated, this is a small class and we are desperately in need of more scholarship players.

A lot easier to drag the star power down when there are only 12 total. Not sure what is left out there, but I hope some young men are waiting to make decisions that will fit the Clemson mold well.

We are now the #17 recruiting class on 247...we lost Khurtis Perry, he signed with Alabama..we flipped no one....the recruits we do have are good but this will be our worst recruiting ranking in 7 years...Welcome to Clemson to all the recruits who signed...

It's hard to flip anyone when your DC and OC move on to higher pastures the week before signing day. The several decommits associated with CBV moving on hurt a lot too.

No mention of Janak anywhere... Is he now off the board? He was supposed to be our lucky 13th.

No doubt about it. We are going to have to use the portal or have a serious lack of depth.
