funny thing is the trumpers will say this is fake news cuz its on CNN.
sorta confirms the trumpers are more likley to buy into Pution's BS then an american news outlet.
again, sad for trumpers, comical for the rest of us "real" americans.

This warning is important.

Ukraine forces are about to royally #### up Russian supply lines which will give them an opening to take back important positions and ultimately Crimea. Now that short opening will slam shut if Russia can stall.

That definitely hasn't been on the news...though you're ex-military (Marine, if I remember correctly?) so I presume you've got sources the public doesn't. What's happened that has (possibly) changed stuff to that extent?

In the last few days, Ukraine has destroyed Russia's Air defenses in Crimea, retaken Robotyne (sp?), and arguably broken through Russia's strongest defensive line. Now open up a map, Ukraine is about 10km away from being able to launch artillery strikes all the way to the south coast not to mention the skies are now open for the jets they finally got from the west and have been training with. We're just warning you not to fall for the ceasefire talks that inevitably coming. It should say it all that Ukraine is going to say "#### no we don't want to talk. We want to keep killing Russians until they leave our country."

I finally did see something that the Ukrainians look like they breaking the Russian line...you were just a day ahead of the news cycle, it looks like. And even the bulk of the press seems to be looking elsewhere for whatever reason.
You figure it's one thing for the Russkies to sit on the other side of the world's biggest minefield, lobbing artillery shells at anything trying to get through the mines, but it does seem every time the Russians and Ukrainians meet in the open field, you see an epic Keystone Kops disaster for Russia ensue and then you see lots of Twitter-now-X videos that show Russian troops frantically scurrying away.
The Ukrainians seem awfully persistent, though. Just from a layman's horse-sense point of view, I sort of figured they'd get through those mines eventually...and we've already seen a gazillion times already what likely happens then.

Yeah, the mines and other land defenses made it really difficult to move. Now because of how important it is, Russia has moved a lot of troops to the immediate south of Robotyne because they absolutely can't let the Ukrainians get to Tokmak. It's an important supply stop, both highway and rail. It also would put them in range to take out the Crimea bridge (Kerch) and Russian troops would be completely isolated in Crimea. There's a ticking clock though because they're a few weeksish away from mud season and whoever holds Tokmak will probably keep it.

I should add that we don't really know how many Russian troops we're talking about. Order of battle puts it at 32,000 but the Russians are pretty decimated so I'd guess it's closer to 10,000-15,000. The optimist in me wants to point out that all those troops in a 3×5km area makes logistics and communications an absolute cluster #### and around 2 battalions are conscripts not professional soldiers. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but taking Tokmak could set in motion dominoes that end of the war.

yes, thats right simple and gullible.
I'm glad you are not involved in US foreign policy or economic policy.
And don't say "how do you know I'm not involved". Trust me, we know, we all know you are not involved.
