Sirius coaching question for tnet

Nov 21, 2014, 11:36 PM

With all if the Fire coaches talk that has been on this board from its inception, what percentage of praise and blame is reasonable to place on coaches and what's the percentage for players?

I know there is a faux pas (and deservedly so) about blaming amateur athletes and the coaching job is really all anyone can control at any given point, but what is the honest breakdown?

100% of our failures are on coaching. We know what Cole is (god bless his soul) but CM has refused to change his game plan and CDS is refusing to take him out.

Poor BV is getting crapped on with his record setting season.

I totally agree with this!! Chad Morris doesnt know how to plan around or for Stout and for Gods sake his gameplan will never change in a game no matter how bad or ugly it is. He just doesnt know how. And Dabo doesnt know how to handle Chad Morris!

I'm putting 99% of it on injuries and juniors opting for the NFL!!! And I honestly think that's where it belongs....

1.3 mil ways to blame it on coaching. With that said Chad's scheme with Cole starting has been suspect at best. Any coach can look good when you have NFL talent everywhere. He needs to reevaluate his playbook and do some traveling to other schools in the off season.

Coaches. Players will try do what you tell them, even if

they aren't capable. Coaches need to recognize and plan for that. Morris calls plays for Cole as if he had Watson's talent.

I think its 50/50
Chad morris doesn't change his game plan BC every play he sends in has a check down play for what the Defense is doing. Cole Stoudt doesn't seem to recognize what defenses are doing or he is handcuffed by morris. Cole should know the playbook and how to read defenses by now that's both on his preparation and Morris's coaching
