Idk man he’s had some electric plays. His freshman year he was dang good. Wonder if he overtrained and got to big. He seems like someone that has that mentality of overtraining

Apparently he wasn't with the program last night starting just before the half.

Maybe he has but he doesn’t have the blocking he has had in the past either.

Mafah gets to run the play calls to the outside or off tackle. Shipley get all the runs designed to go up the middle. It seems to me it would be the opposite because of their size and speed differences. I would be mad too if I had to do all the hard work and get beat up and another RB gets to run it in from the 1 yard line.

His vision takes him the wrong way…like into the closed gap instead of the open one.

He was never an elite level RB. Works hard. Fun to pull for though. Good teammate.

He’s averaging 5.5 yards per carry over his career. Y’all are clearly not paying attention.

He's a good player, but he doesn't have the speed we was told he had
He's a typical white back not named Christian. He is solid, good vision, works hard, good teammate...just not fast

No, they are not. He doesn’t have the “home run” gear that Travis had, but few do. The man is a very good all purpose back. He ran for over 1K yards last year and had 20 or so TDs. This is an absurd post. He’s a great player.

Most overrated clemson player last 20 years. Love his toughness, but not a game changer. Slow, small, can’t block or catch. Mafah a better overall back. Neither would have seen the field in the gallman, ETN years.

Did you see what happened the first 3 drives of the 3rd quarter without Shipley and Williams. Completely lost without their best player and motivating leader.
The fumble on the punt would not have happened either. Antonio returns punts and Shipley returns kickoffs. If Shipley wasn't being benched in the 2nd half he would have been Antonio's substitute to return punts instead of a true freshman that hurt us as a team.

No it doesn't. Speed like that doesn't just show up. None of Bama's backs have that explosiveness.

Yeah for some reason people can't comprehend that during the last 15 years Alabama had one of the best offensive line in the country year in year out.

Shipley was never shifty. I've said this a lot. He's a jack of all trades. Great athlete who can do a little bit of everything. He plays with a ton of intensity. People want to pretend he's McCaffrey, but he's not in the same realm. I think he is good in a two back set and does the screen better than Mafah. But Mafah is such a more talented pure back (plus he can actually pass block). I think Mafah will play on Sundays. Shipley will probably get drafted in the third or fourth round and then never play.

I don’t think he’s all that good of a teammate either. I think he’s showed me a self entitled/I’m better than everyone type of attitude. I just saw him crying to Coach Spiller on the sidelines because he didn’t get a 3rd chance to punch it in.
And now he’s going to go all cam newton and shut out his teammates with the towel.

Yep. Has lost more than a step. Lost his mind. Find me a player that ####### about not getting the ball at the 1 yard line and Dabo will show him the bench. Hate that crap.

He took some big shots early in the game. I like Mafah as the feature back and Ship in the utility role.

When the team has had to lean heavily on him the past year, other teams have been solely focused on him and where he’s at on the field at all times. The oline hasn’t helped much either. This past game was a great win and I hope we can do the same with FSU in town. Their struggle with BC has given me more hope for a win for the good guys. Then we can be back in the top 25 again.
