Regardless of how important Hank Aaron was to the Braves

and the pressure from the liberal left I do not think the Atlanta Braves should consider a name change to the Hammers. I am not sure Hank Aaron would not want a name change. I don’t remember Aaron ever discussing changing The Braves to another name. The Tomahawk Chop should be here to stay. It’s an honor to the Indian Nation. By the way those foam Tomahawk’s are made by the Cherokee Indian Nation. They certainly have no problem with the Braves nickname or the chop. FSU should keep their name too. It financially benefits the Seminole Indian Nation.
Rest In Peace Henry “ Hank “ Aaron.
Once monuments and name changes start happening that is the first sign of a socialist / Communist society. I will always call Washington “ The Redskins “ no matter what they call themselves now.
Next PETA will want teams with animal names to change their nickname. ( Clemson Tigers ) We are in a world gone nuts!

Used to spend my summers watching the Braves, in person. In fact my family was there for opening day in 1966.4 of us,3 games behind home plate for a total of $96.00 ,not counting concessions of course. And we had free parking. Saw "Hammering Hank" up close( as close as possible) because the Braves wouldn't let him come out for "Fan Appreciation" events( image that happening with a DeShaun ,or Trevor). Anyway saw Aaron get 500 ,but not 600 or 700. Just my take but I'll take Hank's wrist(where he got a lot of pop) over Barry's steriod arms anyday.

We know the Gamecocks are embarrassing a lot of chickens with their performance on the gridiron.

To use the name. As does Utah with the Utes. That’s why you never see discussion of them changing names.

I’m not exactly sure what is so offensive about the name Braves but I am not a Native American so what do I know. To me, it seems like a positive term for the natives, not a negative.

Did you know at least the Cherokee people who are 1/16 or more Cherokee receives $18,000 when they graduate HS. Then they receive $4000 every 6 months from the US government for life. I spoke with some of the Police Officers on the Cherokee Reservation where the US Government has not jurisdiction. They said these checks paid out by our government have only helped to create an Indian nation of addicts. Drugs and Alcohol are the Cherokee Police’s biggest problem. Receiving this government money has created an Enabled Generation of people. Similar to what all the democrats hand out programs are designed to do.
I am sure other Indian Nations receive a similar compensation. Plus the Cherokee people make a lot of money from the Atlanta Braves! And the made a lot of money from the Cleveland Indians and the Washington Redskins!
When do we start removing old Westerns from TV and movie theaters, or does liberal Hollywood get a pass. All of this politically BS is dividing our Nation based on people’s original race. This is destroying our country.

Redskins isn't really in the same category IMO.

It truly IS a derogatory term and would, more or less, be the equivalent of naming a franchise the "blackfaces" or something of the like.
It likely would've been changed sooner if not attached to a multi-billion dollar NFL franchise.
