Older Frontiers are decent trucks.

My last was a 2002 that took Joonyer driving for a few years to kill it. And THAT, my friend, is a testament to the truck's innate ability to suffer the kind of neglect and abuse that should have sparred the creation of a Special Victims Unit, and still run.
Seriously, both my Nissan's have been workhorses. I know Lakebum wasn't thrilled with his after a couple of years, and they may not be what they once were, but mine were exceptionally reliable.

They must have gold plated undercoating or something.
Which is why I have a cheap Cherokee for rock hopping, gun toting, trips to the dump.

Coming from someone who had a 2008 Frontier

Toyota Tacoma. My Frontier rattled and squeaked more than my Jeep did. Although, other than that, and the potential catastrophic radiator issue, it was a good driving little truck.
Oh, and both the front body mounts broke...Not sure how that even happened.

Definitely Nissan. Bullet proof engine will run for ever. Better torque curves if you need to pull or haul anything. Drives better... More sporty. Better interior and more american like than the plasticky, cheap looking Toyota interior. Much better sound systems in Nissan as well.
