who has been named to the team for the Netherlands in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

You would think it would be difficult to put together a competative team from the Netherlands. However, the top rated prospect in all of baseball in the minors is also playing for that team. Profar from the Rangers.

Andruw Jones is probably the most famous to play for them, he was decent once upon a time.

Most of the players come from the Dutch Antilles, which is a Caribbean island and has a big baseball following like so many other Latin America / Caribbean countries. That's why the Dutch have a decent Little League World Series team each year. Andruw Jones is from there.
