was accepted to UGA Vet School(got one of the in state tuition seats, sorry have to brag). So far, we’ve been impressed with the program. The faculty has been great and supportive. No matter how we feel as Clemson fans, UGA has one of the top Veterinary Schools in the nation. Well….she had her white coat ceremony yesterday. Very nice, brass ensemble, very professional. Then came the announcement of all of the vet students’ interests as they’re being coated. Evidently, because 2 students identify themselves as “non-binary” or whatever, the pronouns for all students, over 100 of them, had to be “their” or “they”. With the exception of those 2, everyone else clearly were male or female. Ridiculous and absurd that for the sake of a small minority, the majority of students cannot be called “he” or “she”. A program based on science and biology, has to do away with biology so as not to offend an individual who doesn’t like what’s between “their” legs. The irony.

The stupidity of that moment will be left behind, soon enough. Congrats to your baby girl!!!! Proud Papa!!!! Thats the most important part. All the rest will fade. Move to the Raleigh/ Triangle area. This area is exploding and she can probably get a job soon. Housing will be an issue, but she'll be making bank. Have a friend, who is a UF grad, and has been running her own vet clinic for years. Done really well. Future is bright!!!!

Congrats to you and your daughter. Was in same situation, just 50 years ago. Don't worry she will always be a Tiger. We used to banter with UGA grads when we played them. We beat UGA and GT my soph year and put a banner up in our room that said "CU Georgia State Champs"

Thank y’all for the congrats! I’m extremely proud of my girl! Her roommates are also Clemson grads in the program.
The pronouns thing won’t ruin the day. We’ve laughed about it but it’s just a small sign of what’s in store for our society. My daughter said “Clemson is special. The school and the town. I didn’t realize how special until I moved to Athens.”
Athens does have good food tho.

UGA is good on many areas. Business, vet, law, engineering, agriculture, quickly come to mind.

I know..former horse owner lady friend from Tryon NC trailered her horse Monty down to UGA twice a year for bladder problems..
while my CU Grad Son “Babybulb” went to UGA-Law and has been nicely & successively self-employed in Charlotte/Davidson area for 25 of his 28 years.
Saying, she’s gonna be happy there and successful!
Go TiGERS & Doggies too~

Congratulations to you daughter and family. Re:the “non-binary” observation: I agree, why compromise the identity of the VAST majority for the identity of a few? Seems like “ladies and gentlemen and others” would work just fine

for all the other animal genders? Why should humans be the only beings that can deny their biology for an ideology? Has anyone communicated with the animal kingdom and asked their preferred pronouns?
Maybe PETA should get involved. Congress should pass anti-discrimination legislation in regards to animals.
Sad thing is, someone has already considered these insane ideas no doubt. The rest of the world laughs at America.
