the McShay guy is awful. Not sure where his hate of all things Clemson comes from but it is clearly visible the way he discounts any aspect of our guys skills. He is consistent in this

Just like athletes are held accountable to their performance, analysts should be held accountable to their analyses. The only industries that I can't think of that don't do that are sports / entertainment & the weather.

great point, he had clearly never seen DW4 play when he made his 3rd day statement - so why make it if you're not knowledgeable on the player? Embarrassing really. Anyone who has watched an NFL game the last 5 years know DW4 is a 1st round pick. But hey, let McShay keep making money telling us Blaine Gabbert and EJ Manuel are 1st round picks

So if he said that, he was right.

If you want to hold them accountable

just set a reminder to send tweets when every guy you feel is slighted turns out to have a great career. NFL teams to not listen to those guys, well maybe the Browns do. So what is there to be accountable for?

Anyone who takes it as anything more than that is watching TV wrong.

Are you serious? Everything. They should be held accountable for everything they say as analysts, like every other profession.
And to sit here an honestly think you don't believe they're rhetoric has an influence on opinions and decisions made by others is ludicrous. The analysts themselves have kept Alabama (just an example) relevant all year year long with their constant mentions and compliments.
Commentators and analysts can and have literally ruined people's careers over their words and writings. And my saying they should be held accountable should be a common sense agreement, not grounds for some nonsensical argument. When you're inundated with rhetoric, whether it's racism, misinformation, or otherwise, after a while, you start to accept whatever it is as an absolute truth. And ESPN gets away with murder all across the board, all year long, and should be held accountable for what they put out there! Just like CEOs, consultants, journalists, etc.
Can't even believe you honestly don't think 100 people saying the same thing all year long on television has zero impact on the people at home watching it.

Yea, the evaluation of QB's in the NFL is the worst

I've ever seen it. I mean guys like Logan Thomas, Terrell Pryor and Tyrod Taylor have roster spots but they won't give a guy like Tajh a real shot. It's ridiculous.
I mean just look at some of these "analyst"/former general managers/former coaches on Cam.

Tyrod Taylor is actually having a pretty good season.

He's likely a better QB than Tajh.

How would anyone know? Tajh has been on some teams but has never had a shot on the field. We DO know who was the better QB in college BY FAR.

If you watch these "draft experts" throughout the season they change the ranking of every notable player at every position so after the draft they can say "Back in December I said..."
They are all laughable

He probably had an NFL scout call him and laugh at him...again...
By the way, said hypothetical NFL scout was NOT from the Browns, so they had credibility...
