Dabo has consistently said that if you can get a kid on campus, Clemson sells itself.
The covid recruiting classes were tough on everybody but especially on a school like Clemson, so I don't think Dabo "learned" anything from the less reliable covid classes as much as it reaffirmed the need to get kids on campus. If you're referring to the fact that he doesn't need to add to the drama in order to recruit a kid--yeah, I'll agree with that.

I think you misunderstood me. The probglem is (my description) "the culture of IMG."
Dabo doesn't want to mess with it. After reading this article I can see why. If the kid is whining about not getting enough love, I don't want him. If the kid is telling the truth, then Norvell and his staff have a reason for dropping him. Either way, I don't want him.

BretFSU/All - you wonder how much having super seniors hurt some of those kids who stopped being recruited?
Did that mess some timing of positions up. Perhaps FSU already had another player who signed a year earlier they thought would have to step up/ they didn't because X player didn't leave due to the extra year of eligibility. Now, suddenly they didn't need to bring the kid in knowing he likely would sit a few years and transfer anyway.
The situation with IMG and Clemson was on the heels of all the NIL craziness and getting more money elsewhere. Look at it a year later and see how it played out for them.
