LSU Fans

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the LSU fans yesterday. I had pleasant conversations with them both before and after the game. Walking back to the hotel, they seemed frustrated, but they kept their class and were even congratulating us.

down they knew Clemson did their talking on the field and everyone saw a great game.

There were a few before the game that said it was more or less a slap in the face that they have to play Clemson in a bowl and the one guy in the row in front of me who thought no one in SC knew how to play football. I just let him rant rather than remind him that one of his best players was from SC. For the most part though they just cheered hard and took the loss like grown ups.

I went to '96 Peach Bowl vs LSU. I have never seen a worse group of fans. walking from the hotel to the game, we almost got into 2-3 fights. Just plain ugly. I am all about a little smack talk, but they were coming up and aggressively trying to get into fights.

The aggressive, rude and just plain belligerent fans are what I experienced at the '96 game also. The absolute worst fan base at that game I have ever seen. Despised them ever since.

hung out with a few at taco mac before the game. they were pretty classy people. there were a couple in our section (238), and they left...when the cramps started.

after the smack-talking flood here on tigernet during the first weeks of december, i thought they would all be horrible. it was a pleasant surprise to meet some nice lsu fans.
