Just a Question about a Future Game: Doak Campbell Stadium

who has been and how was your experience? I am planning to go to the game this season, and just wanted to see how it was? Was it a hostile enviroment?

It is the only other stadium in the ACC that can compare to Clemson. Personally for me it was great for fans but come game time it does get hostile, which should be expected. I have talked to other fans about bad experience there but never had any problems myself.

I was there when we beat them in '06 (I think).
Really good time. No problems with fans more than just heckling.

I was there in 08.. Nice stadium, good fans, and good enviroment. Only stadium in the ACC that can kinda compare to Clemson. I am a die hard Clemson, but i am forced to admit that when 80xxx ppl start doing the tomahawk chop its pretty cool.

I've been the last 3 trips (06,08,10) and it was a very pleasant experience.
Other than your typical obnoxious fan here and there, the tailgating scene was alright and the stadium is a pretty neat place to visit. The "Unconquered" statue is pretty cool.

Well I'm making the trip with an FSU fan, so there is guaranteed to be at least one unpleasant person on the way back. I think it should at least assist with the stadium hostility. I'll probably wear a grey Clemson shirt just to be safe.

were decent before and after we beat them. Of course, those were the Danny days and all was good.

when they were kicking out a$$es every year. Now that Clemson pretty much dominates the series (winning 6 of the last 9 meetings), they're not nearly as hospitable and welcoming.

I really like the stadium, too.
However, the whole atmosphere was just...dead. I went in 2010. They sat on their hands for 3 and a half quarters while we dominated them, until they managed to win on that 55 yarder.

other than the game is boring. I'd rather go anywhere in the ACC.
