but this team is really close to being really good...the missing hole is two guard...they just don't have that guy who's got a little size who can fill it up...think KC Rivers. Put a player like him on this team and they are 3-4 games better. Roper's size is a disadvantage on the defensive end and offensive end. Good player who would be a great spot shooter. Holmes has been a tremendous improvement over Hall, Jaron has improved tremendously, Djitte has improved by miles...don't understand what's happened to Nnoko....I thought he would be better this year and hopefully Donte comes along in year three like Jaron has.

But I think more folks would listen if our NCAA drought was 2-3 years. At this point, most of us are just kind of tired of excuses and just want to make the tournament. Brad has had YEARS to get to know HS coaches and recruit whatever he needed to win. So if we don't have that missing player, at this point it's on the coach.

... A nice 10 point scorer with about 25 minutes of PT.
Certainly another potential offensive weapon .... Maybe not as consistent as we would like but likely would have shown up big in a handful of games.

considerably better...the recruiting has gotten better Brad's challenge is does he have enough runway to improve before the clock runs out. He also followed a coach who got to post season more often than not, made it to an ACC title game, and played a brand of basketball the fans liked to watch. He's obviously not going anywhere after this year with the games in Greenville but next year could be a different story....thankfully with Jaron back it's his most talented team.

Like Mays puts us in the Top 25.
CBB must recruit better.
BTW I watch and "enjoy" JB - what a terrific scorer and all around player he has become.hopefully he stays another season. If he graduates, then see it going either way.

bb has done more with less this yr. there has been critical mistakes at crucial times in the losses. this team can play ball. its the consistency that's lacking.

compared to the competition?
This team is more talented than last year especially at the most important position...point guard and this team has talent.

One poster says the talent has improved, the next says Brownell has done more with less.....
Sounds like a republican debate up in here.

not having facilities and a home court. In that case he's done pretty well this year. If I mis-read the post and he actually means CBB has done more with less talent, then I would ask who is responsible for recruiting that talent in CBB's 6th year and why does he have less?

spot on gwp. talent wise, tigers aren't duke or heels - obviously. but there is talent. but what he's had to do this yr is difficult. next yr with new facilities and the new transfers added, the proof needs to show up on the court

No Clemson fan is excited about a loss

Just like no Clemson fan is excited about missing the NCAA Tournament...AGAIN.
As usual, you've confused people who think our coach should be held to a higher expectation than 1 tournament appearance in 6 years, with people who are happy with a loss. But hey, today we've learned that some believe we only need to make the tourney once every 10 years on average to meet expectations.

GWP you are here after wins and losses. I am talking about the group of people that only show up after losses and post giddily with their "I told you so" BS.

concerned about being right than a fan....friend of mine was a scout for the Orlando Magic and I asked him what are the two hardest jobs in the ACC in basketball....without flinching he said VT and Clemson. Historically not great programs and not great facilities. Facilities are improving and the program is improving as well but I think we all agree we need to break through and get to the tourney to give the fans and recruits hope.

apparently it never occurred to us to guard him in the second half when he started raining three pointers.
That and getting absolutely killed on the boards (State outrebounded Clemson 43 - 30) was the difference in the game.
