It's really important to have a program which graduates players and equips them for life after college.
However, this shouldn't be used to justify lackluster results. He is the highest paid coach in college football because he is expected to run a great program and also win at a high level.

Dabo is far and away the greatest value as a head coach in college football.

Despite our barely Top 25 program budget, Dabo's worst finish in 12 years was this season's 20th - still 5 places above that average. Otherwise it's been Top 15's, Top 10's, Top 5's, and 2 Best In Class. Nobody does more in this sport with less than Dabo, and that's only on the actual winning side - not all of the other incredible intangibles that make us such a strong and proud program.
Contrast this with, say, a Brad Brownell who converts his Top 40 budget / salary / recruiting class averages into only a 75th average year-end finish on average, and you might be able to begin to appreciate the tremendous respect Dabo commands from actual Clemson fans.

Results are viewed in context of the support a program receives.

Yes, football finishing 20th is disappointing considering:
-We had the second highest paid coach in college football -We had arguably the best facilities in college football -We had top 10 talent -We were picked to finish in the top 10 to start the season -We did not play a top 20 strength of schedule -We play in a relatively weak power 5 conference against schools who typically don’t have the history or resources we do
Let me know when basketball has even a few of the advantages on this list.

-Our coach doesn't deserve to be one of the highest paid coach in college basketball -We have arguably better facilities than some teams who beat us -We have the best talent in 2023-24 than we've had in years (according to you) -We have never been picked to finish in the top 10 to start the season (sad) -Our strength of schedule last year was 132 according to Warren Nolan (sad we couldn't win more) -The ACC was ranked 7th in conference NET ranking in 2023 according to Warren Nolan

Discounting the first 3 years of Dabo’s coaching run and removing the worst 3 seasons of Brownell’s years at Clemson, Dabo’s winning percent is 84% while Brad’s is 64%.
Dabo has won 2 National Championships, has played in 4 overall, has won 8 ACC Championships, and is 12-8 in bowl games. Dabo also has been awarded National Coach of the Year.
I must have read your message wrong… you must have been talking about Brad’s lackluster career whose last postseason game was a loss in the first round of the NIT.

If you’re good with finishing 15th-20th in the final polls, and missing out on the playoffs every year, that’s fine. But in that case, I’d suggest we cut our football budget drastically so that we start getting our money’s worth.

Tater hating troll roll.
It's ironic in that as much as she trashes Clemson fans for not having the mental faculty to appreciate Brad's historical greatness, us being a football school with dumb football fans and all, she flails this miserably.

Another cheap and incorrect troll from JK. Kirby’s new contract makes him higher paid than Dabo. I included this in a response when you trolled this misinformation a couple of days ago. But I don’t expect you to allow the truth to get in the way of your trolling.

He is the highest paid coach in college football because he runs a great program and he has already won at the highest level and he did it for a long time.

You have got to be a coot in tiger clothes. I have never seen anyone more jealous of one man in my life than you are of our football coach. Yet. You defend Brad which underperforms on a weekly basis. Brad is incapable of winning championships.

BTW......just a footnote to this underwhelming conversation. Clemson Football, having just come off three frustrating years, is ranked 5th in the country in wins over the past 3 years.
