That's the going rate on eBay right now...

With my wife and 3 kids for over 3 hours just to get Sammy and Tahj autographs and I'm going to do it again this year. The football looks awesome on my mantle during football season and I even rub it for luck. So in short, yes I would pay $45 bucks for a cool Clemson artifact, and I know there's a lot of fans out there like me.

I think there is a big difference in fans who go to fan appreciation days, practice, games, etc and get footballs jerseys autographed as part of an experience including meeting the player face to face.

I find it interesting people would pay 599.99 (posted price on ebay for a Tajh jersey and a signed football card) or 399 for a Sammy jersey, or 700 for a clowney football.

First there is no interaction / meeting / chat / experience that goes with the item. One may never know if it is a signature or a copy and the experience was buying it off ebay.

I don't get it but I guarantee you if I ever paid that for an item, a tall tale would go with it. "I was on the field after the Chick Fil A bowl right by Les Miles, I said hey coach meet Tajh Boyd, and Tajh gave me a high five and signed this jersey right off his back!"

Anyone who would pay that much for something on Ebay is delirious. I don't trust their "authentic" at all. People who try to make money without working for it make me sick.
