If shipley is leaving and he's told everyone

Then what's the big deal?
How long can you expect something like that to stay quiet?
I'm doubtful that he has made a final decision, and I think this is all speculation

The rule is if you want something to be a secret, then you must not tell anyone. Otherwise it won’t be a secret for very long. Works every time

During the bowl game I thought I heard an announcer address this by saying it’s the NFL or Clemson.

Good Luck and success in whatever decision he makes. It will be all his to own.

Or maybe 3 and out has been his (and Dabo’s) plan all along. Kinda like DJ and DW4 and TL16 and who knows how many others. Worked as planned for DW4 and TL16. Didn’t for DJU so he had to find somewhere to go. Ship has said he’s not transferring so if Dabo doesn’t have room for him in his plan then it becomes NFL or bust or change the plan and transfer. I don’t really expect Dabo to say he doesn’t have room for him but we aren’t included in those conversations.

I also think it's best for SH1Ps career. he'll get drafted 3 round or so.***

he is very good with a good OL and can be a strong contributor. just not a game breaker (but that's not needed or as valuable in the NFL)

If I had to guess, I would say he really, really wants to go pro, but the grade

he got from the NFL says not. Thus, the consternation over the decision. Unless he were to suddenly gain a couple tenths in the 40, I don't think his grade improves any with another college season.
Might be time to come to some Big Boy realizations of reality. I know what MY decision would be in his place. Come back for one last ride at Clemson, make as much as possible NIL money, THEN give the NFL my best shot, knowing it is probably not in the cards.

Kendre Miller(TCU) had 1399 yards and 17 TD his final year. He was the 8th pick in the third round. Contract was just over $5 mil with $1.1 or so guaranteed. The question is, how much NIL money would Shipley get to come back to Clemson for another year? I’m a Shipley fan, but I can’t imagine he gets drafted before the third round. I also agree that coming back for another season doesn’t mean his draft great will improve. I wish he would focus on trying to be a bigger weapon in the passing game. He is a better fit as a third down back in the NFL imo.

Needs to just work on his resume, not getting drafted.
