I completely understand the criticism of this team

Then, I watch the games and I’m like, ####, Dabo kinda has a point. Clemson is outplaying these dudes l, then the insane turnovers happen. It’s wild man. I was at the NC state game in 2016, they had us on the ropes and their kicker missed a 30 yr chip shot. If he made it, no natty. We had already lost to Pitt. Proving, some luck is involved on the natty runs.

Told my brother Saturday night we have had several years where it seemed we got all the breaks (except for refs) and this year is just the opposite. Every single bounce. We fumble it bounces up and away for a long return. All turnovers are just catastrophic. I know you create your own luck but this season is a snakebit season so far.

I more disappointed with the defense in the 4th quarter and overtime. Reminded me of last years Notre Dame game. Just not good if you can not stop the run. I mean we have some monsters up front. I get they could be tired but seems like we could have done something. I can not wait to see Cade use all his weapons. Seems like once he had success with Brinny he was stuck on him for the last few drives. Seems like we could have used that to scheme some others like Tyler Brown or Collins. Still support Dabo and hope he has one more run in him.

If you look at the number of minutes our D was on the field in the second half, it's easy to understand why. They were just gassed. Way too many offensive 3 and outs for us. You have to play complimentary football to win. The D cannot be expected to always bail us out.

Our offense kept the defense on the field for too long. The tank was nearly empty by Q4 and OT.

The crappy offensive performance affects the defense...

We lost to Pitt about a month after we played NC State.

Didn’t realize that. So, maybe if he made that kick Clemson would’ve somehow beat Pitt?

A random turnover is bad luck, what we have is a pattern stemming from lack of development and a poor S&C program. This whole bad bounce thing doesn’t lose you 3 games. If we’re actually an elite level team the game wouldn’t be close enough against these mediocre ACC teams that it would even matter. Eric MacLain said it best on the postgame after Miami “this isn’t bad luck, this is who this team is”.

As for the defense being gassed, same thing back to S&C. And what does being gassed have to do with playing soft and rushing 3 in the 4Q and essentially hamstringing our single best/deepest position group
at DL?

We need to do better, and it needs to start with replacing multiple coaches this offseason. Donors need to put the pressure on Dabo to make the tough choices he made in the past to put the right people in place to put our players in the best position to succeed on the field. Every CEO makes mistakes and bad hires, but the great ones aren’t afraid to admit their mistakes and make the necessary corrections

Posts like these are the direct result of Dabo gaslighting and deflection. The problems have nothing to do with this season. The problems have been happening since 2019. Dabo wants us all to have blinders on as he attempts to focus our attention on this year's bad luck. This needs to stop.

No, we lost to Pitt later.

But yeah, that 2016 team played with fire all year.
But, that team knew when to turn it on and win a game. This team folds at critical times, and that makes all the difference.

if you have 1000 clemson coaches coaching for 10,000 years at clemson it can be statistically proven that any random distribution of coaches will result in exactly three national championships during those 10,000 years.

Wut now?
