I'm surprised at the number of experts on here, but if what we are reading here proves to be accurate then I agree with your assessment.

Clemson would be fine in football and basketball in the Big 10. Baseball and softball and other sports would suffer.

It’s about football though. Those sports do not move a needle, at all. They are fun and I enjoy them but football is King. Who on this board would not take a powerhouse winning fball team (yr in and yr out) to be below avg in those sports? No one.

Clemson does not bring enough to the table for either of the SEC or the Big Ten. The only other conference we could end up in would be the big 12.

It’s ask about TV eyeballs. Clemson is too small of a school and market to bring enough value to offset the revenue dilution. We definitely would not be invited to the SEC because they already have South Carolina covered with SCAR, and I don’t think the revenue we bring to the table for the big 10 would be sufficient.

It's all about TV viewership. Tigers are top 10 in the country over the last decade. All the b.s. in the media right now is just foreplay and negotiation.

Not me. If can’t get in SEC or BIG 10 would not make any more revenue than now and have to travel over the country.

I tend to agree. I am not sure we add enough value to the BIG to make it worthwhile although they may want to make a big dent in the south and truly be a national conference. I think the SEC would only add us to keep the BIG out of the south. They already basically have everything they want/need and have most of the marquee matchups. Once again I don’t think we add 70-80 million a year in revenue. We would however add a ton of value to the big 12. York tiger may have been right all along. Just a little late.

Academics is much more important in Big 10 and we would be more comfortable there.
