Here's the problem with firing TE

which is not going to happen by the way.....after all the success over the past 6 or 7 years, he has one "bad" year and gets canned? What message does that send to a potential hire? No one will want to work for Dabo after that.

You mean like no one wants to work for Coach Saban who does not hesitate to make coaching changes?

When has he ever had a coach stick around for that long to be in that situation?

Of course because any coach who is any good and want to elevate gets offers to be head coaches. Elliot might get offered by South Carolina State at best

We can’t tolerate having the worst offense in the country. Just no way to shine that up. Has to go.

Agree, but Dabo better find an offensive minded coach

to bring in and come up with a title for him and let him do his thing. Kind of like LSU did with Emsminger as the OC. He would have never gotten LSU to where they were in 2019, even with Burrow.

I would tend to agree with except the fact that it is very obvious to anyone following this program or football that his play calling was hidden by spectacular athletes the last few years and even then still managed to screw it up (lsu game) … it’s time for a change and also some other positions that don’t seem to be developing like they should

Lol, "bad" year is quite the understatement

A "bad" offensive team at any other top tier program would be maybe around 50th in the country statistically. We're around 120 of 130 FBS teams. This is a historically Clemson offense and in some cases, a historically bad college footbal offense in general. Absolutely no excuses that can be made that hold any water. We should be better than we are and we're not. Tony Elliots in charge of that group so at the end of the day, the blame goes to him.

Look i get it...it's about as bad as it can get but i think he has to get 1 more year. Like others have suggested maybe another co is brought in. My only fear with that is it may be streeter. And for all i know streeter could be the next joe brady but it would be nice to have someone from the outside brought in.

We already saw what Streeter can do as OC last year in the bowl game. He would be more of the same, maybe even worse.

NO NO NO Streeter. He has to go as well. He has not developed one QB. Was blessed to be able to ride the shirt-tails of DW and TL. He's just singing in the choir.

Our defense gave up 464 yards so do we fire Venables too? We don't have the horses this year and about the ones we have are hurt or have been.

One problem feeds into the other. If the offense could stay on the field for more than 2 minutes, the defense wouldn't be so worn out and injured at this point in the season.

Stating that this is the first season Elliott’s skills have been in question.

I'm not saying it's the first time however the team wasn't losing to ncstate and pitt in the same season. It was primarily after a loss in the playoffs, which is a totally different situation.

The issue is many of us fans have seen his inability to game plan and scheme for years now. Far superior talent was the difference.
This is HISTORICALLY bad. If Napier gets canned, why does Tony get a pass. If this was BAMA or OSU or UGA do you not think a change gets made?
My guess is it may have already happened.
