Head track coach who mutually agreed to part ways with the program in 2014.

There was another track coach in the 80's.
And do we count the fencing and field hockey coaches whose programs were yanked out from under them?

Every coach that has ever been fired was fired before Brownell because he hasn't been fired.
I'm sure you meant something more specific, but didn't state it.

There have been several underperforming coaches that we have gotten rid of for the better within their first few years. Brad should have been one of those coaches after 2014-15, however, he's still underperforming during year 14.

If there is a circle of hell for Athletic Directors doing unforgivable sh*t, DRad will roast away for firing Jack Leggett while extending Brownell’s contract.

Overall, the Clemson administration has done a good job of managing all of the sports. However, I will never understand the Brownell situation.

I think over my lifetime they’ve been mostly awful and we’ve had some dumb luck. Dabo is the biggest, best accident in college football history and possibly all of sports. Wilhelm and Ibrahim building our baseball and soccer were also mostly fortuitous. Penley as an inside hire at golf. Clemson is a desirable place and good, smart, talented people want to be there. I’m encouraged by the Bakich hire. It is one of only two instances I am aware of where we have hired away the active head coach of a high major program. Ken Hatfield being the other. Of course, we tried to take Rick Stansbury from Miss State when Purnell left and that blew up in our faces and has led to this 14 years of treading water.

Most of these coaches had way more losses than wins.

Now, count all his close losses as wins and see what that number is.

Why not count all the 20-point losses as wins, too? Or any of the blown leads?

The problem is that your definition of underperforming and administration's definition is two different things. It's obvious the administration at Clemson University feels that Brad Brownell is doing what is expected of him regardless of what the fan base thinks. If you want Brad Brownell gone you need to place pressure on the Clemson Administration to be replaced with people that align with your definitions and opinions. As long as they feel Brownell is doing his job he's going to be retained. I'm not saying he should be fired I'm not saying he should be retained because at the end of the day my opinion of the situation really doesn't matter.

Ahhh bingo, just maybe the administration has forgotten who pays the bills, and where they get that 2.750 million a year for 2023-2024 that they graciously hand out to Brad Brownell. Their generosity to Brownell for the past 14 years and barely hovers over .500 without even smelling an ACC championship has become overwhelming to that bank account IMHO...

I guess being unhappy about 21 wins in the ACC is good. Nothing wrong with high expectations. I just hope we don't ditch CBB for some used to be DII coach who couldn't convince a 3⭐️ to commit.

I mean don't hire somebody from Furman or Citadel or Tinyville St where a big man is 6' 6" or meet a recruit at Hardee's.
