I agree about Chapel Hill's stadium. It's quite poorly set up. I had seats one year where a pillar blocked about a third of the field. All in all, it's not a bad place to go to a game if you just go with the flow. Go to somewhere like the Brewery on Franklin and take a shuttle to the game. You can walk for football, but need the shuttle for basketball.
The best thing I can say about Tech is that it's in Atlanta and that's a fun town. The views inside some of their clubs might be better than from the stadium.

Even in the best situation it stinks to park and tailgate. I never go there anymore. If it were a top 10 matchup I would do it...

And they would still have less fans in there.

The only chance they have to sell out the game is if the wonderful people in Orange and purple show up. It's a shame that they cannot rely on their own fans for support. Go to any Clemson game and you will see 80,000 or more fans mostly in orange, purple and white...best fans and one of the best stadiums in the nation. Ga. Tech. only dreams of the day when they might be able to compete with Clemson.

I don't think they understand what an auction is

First of all to be President of GA Tech you would think that he would know that an auction is BIDDING on the value of the ticket. If they want to SELL the tickets for $20 more then that is not an auction.
Second, an auction can go both ways. If they are having trouble selling tickets to games then what makes them think they will get more money by auctioning them off.
Sounds to me that that they are targeting Clemson fans to buy their tickets. If they want to do that then just advertise them to Clemson fans, and if they want add their additional $20 bucks. We will make it another home game.
