Vic is extremely elusive and has a motor on EVERY play. He was still about to get sacks on the last minute of the game... that's why he has more falls than Clowney

There's a lot to be said about the differences/similarities between JC and VB insofar as how they play so you are all correct to some extent but the biggest difference IMO is Clowney's sense of entitlement. It's apparent that he was annointed at an early age as the second coming of Ted Hendrix

He loves talking about only playing the required 3 years at Scar. Just b/c you're going to the NFL doesn't mean you need to belittle the team by making them sound more like a requirement than an opportunity. It also doesn't seem that he works very hard b/c of that reason. I don't think he's a bad guy by any means, but doesn't play with much of a determined spirit.

They only thing they have in common is a fast break off the line. Other than that they are completely different type of players with completely different body types. Beasley uses his smaller size to his advantage making quick, athletic moves and fast breaks to get off the block. Clowney uses his freakish size, speed and strength in different ways. Vic has to rely on beating his block through movement and technique (speed, foot/hand work) . Clowney can run over his blocker because of his freakish size in addition to the other stuff, but he's probably a hair slower than Vic. It is just stupid to compare the two.

I agree. They are totally different players.
But it still made my night. I know many coots didn't like that comparison. No one compares to Clowney.. he is the best thing since sliced bread.

I actually think he basically just said that Vic and DooDoo were the fastest off the ball he had seen all year. i think that was where the comparison stopped. Vic was causing all kinds of problems last night though, he was bull rushing the guy, swim moving the guy and spin moving to get around the guy. Impressive to go back and watch. He actually blew up two O lineman on one play.
