Fans were, indeed, different back then - the whole country was. The Butt wipes that don't want to recognize that fact because they're too wrapped up in the safe spaces can go to Hades en masse and on my dime, to boot.
Everybody wants to change things, but no one wants to take the responsibility for the outcomes. What a bunch of turds...

be sociable, while the country goes down the drain. No one has the guts to stand up and say what needs to be said anymore.
You don't like me? Have at it. I could care less.
You want to f*ck up my lawn and my country, then you better hope I don't find you if I come a-looking.

Yes, we can all tell you are a real problem solver. Talk a big game on an anonymous board makes you feel powerful.

Me too. Our last TD was crazy. We did everything to try and NOT score. Deacon mascot had to help with our pushups because The Tiger was worn out...

I preferred the tree in the west end zone corner. Good for sliding as a kid.

I was there sitting next to Craig Crawford’s parents below that tree!He took it to the house on a 70+ yard TD the first time he touched the ball(as I remember it). His parents were going crazy😁

I was there too. Seems like I remember Crawford's jersey didn't have his name and was a duplicate number.

Hey OP (original poster) appreciate the pic of the tree. Is that Tree Rollins sitting in the shade? Maybe germans but does anyone know when and why it was cut down? I hope the wood was used for something more than a fire place. Does anyone know what kind of tree? If it was a "sticky ball" tree I understand why it was cut down. Thanks for reading my post. Sincerely, Johnny Appleseed

I was under that tree that season when they barely beat Wofford, then listened as they escaped Tulane the next week. I loved the hill in those days , under that tree in September was primo seating

I was at that game too. My sophomore year at Clemson. I had a friend who was a cheerleader from Ohio. She got 2 tickets to each game for her parents. Her parents never came to any games so she gave me one each week. Had some pretty primo seats for a sophomore that season. At the end of the Wake game, the announcers didn’t even know the names for some of the players. When the RB broke free for that last long TD the crowd erupted in laughter, not cheers. So much fun.
