I used to love bowl season. I cared about games between conferences.
Now, with portal players pulling out and opt outs - the teams are no longer what they were.
I actually feel bad for many of the teams. (Not nc state and clown Doeren).
Clemson is down multiple players.
The politicians who pushed for portal should be tarred and feathered.
A one time move rule and allowing players to move if head coach leaves would have been enough.
The sport I loved is now a joke.
Will I watch the game today? Of course. But it no longer has the excitement it once did.

While I am venting.
Baby ETN. In your wildest dreams - if it was 20 years ago - could you see any player transferring from Florida to UGA?
Sickening.

As much as it sucks players transfer out and opt out, it gives us a chance to look at some future players. Excited to see Lewis and Terrell today! It’s all them out there. No help coming for them this game.

I agree with that, along with extra practice. But, when a bowl game is on and the announcer says - X team has a bowl record of x wins and y losses - it is now meaningless. I saw a chart that showed the coaches with the most bowl wins. Now, meaningless.
Same with the conference wins and losses in bowls.

The sport is disgusting right now for sure. The word cesspool comes to mind. It's more screwed up than at any point in my lifetime, and it's not even close.
