Best/biggest win in Death Valley for Dabo as Head Coach?
Aug 3, 2019, 9:38 AM

I think the 2016 game against Louisville would be tops on my list. The magnitude of the game, the Hype Train that was Lavar Burton-Jackson, the evil villain that was Bob Petrino, the nail biter that the 4th quarter turned into... it seems to have all the qualities of an all-time great win.
I just had a feeling after that game that winning a championship was really possible and feeling more like probable. This team just finds ways to win and will fight til the end! This had to be our year!!!
So what say you?
SIDE NOTE: And the 2008 win vs. coots also comes to my mind cuz it gave Dabo the coaching job for good.

To me it was the ND game in the monsoon. Huge exposure for a national audience IMO, and Dabo’s Interview on the field following the game was classic.

I liked the 2015 win over FSU

Sweet redemption for the 2013 and 2014 bad losses and it felt like Clemson took control of the ACC and started to make a national impact. And I loved the Wayne Gallman TD that sealed it.

That’s the exact one I think of as well. That game really did feel different. While Gallman’s TD sealed it, that Deon Cain TD was the one that was perfectly awesome to me. That game felt like we had finally beaten Mr.T like in Rocky III.

that game and there is no division, so therefore no conference championship... no ACC champ means no CFP. Also felt huge in terms of recruiting to finally get over that FSU hump.

He earned the head coaching job with the 2008 win over the chickens. The others are great wins but, that one was huge for Dabo and Clemson.

Not sure he would have gotten the job without this win.

Beating FSU in 2015 was a big one . They were coming off of a great season and we had to prove we were their equal , or that we were the better team .
We did just that .

We also were just ranked #1 and had to defend that.

Georgia 2013. Showed LSU wasn’t a fluke and that we had staying power.

Am I cheating? I just gave TUs for 4 different games. I think Dsbo would say, "The next game is the most important."

Coach Dabo would say Auburn 2011. The first real pelt on the wall, an SEC team we hadn’t beaten since the depression, the defending national champs who we had on the ropes the year before in their stadium and The Chads offense on full display for the first time. The Auburn folks still hate him for his postgame interview. IMHO
