You could read all of these rules, but we know after ND, the SEC runner-up, and the 6 conference champions are selected, the remaining 2 spots will have to go to the runner-up in the ACC, PAC-12, or Big 12. (by rule, only 2 teams for a conference can go to the BCS)

The Big 10 and Big East runner-up don't have a shot (they are too far back).

If TCU and OK St. win, the runner-up in the Big 12 will also be too far back.

None of that matters as long as Clemson wins.***

There's something in these hills.

A 10-2 Texas or Oklahoma team could easily be picked before

an 11-1 Clemson team. It's completely unfair, but the at large selections can be made from any team in the top 14 except those from conferences that already have two teams in BCS bowls. In 2007 the Orange Bowl chose chose #8 Kansas over #6 Missouri even though Missouri was ranked higher and had beaten Kansas on a neutral field only two weeks earlier. Also, in 1998, Kansas State finished the season ranked third in the BCS with one loss, but the two at large berths went to No. 4 Ohio State and No. 8 Florida, even though both teams had two losses.

The bottom line is that it all depends upon who the bowl wants and the matchup.

ACC with no Pac12? The Pac10 is about to have carniage on itself this weekend and next with their title game. I don't think Oregon and Stanford are both guaranteed, those boys have some games to play.

A win by Ok st or UCLA assure us a BCS bowl

But I still think 11-1 Clemson would get nod over 10-2 OU, but OU still has OK st and at TCU

Clemson won't be 11-1 if they don't win!

Yeah, there's an large amount of assumption on this board that this game is in the bag before it's even played. While I'm very confident we'll win, I'm not convinced it will be as easy as folks seem to think it will be.

one of our biggest enemies right now is the computers. A win over an SEC will help with the computers tremendously, and FSU over UF only helps further and GT over UGA would simply be added bonus.

We have a full weekend of football and then an entire other weekend that we don't play but most of these other contenders do. Teams will be losing both weekends, we win we slide in no problem.

TCU tonight and Texas over K-State next week

would also do it.
