. . . when we first started bringing a TV to our tailgate about 4 years ago. The picture quality we got was great. If I remember correctly, we couldn't get one of the networks (CBS, I think) but were able to receive the three others (ABC, NBC, FOX) with no problem (all three bandwidths). Please remember that when you set up, your TV will have to search the broadcast bandwidth each time to find all available channels.
Oh, also, we use to mount our antenna to a camera tripod and place it atop my son's Explorer, just to get it up as high as we could to achieve the best signal "line of sight".
