Pig's Retirement Countdown...

It's now down to 66 days. I've transferred all my personal emails to my home email address, and started taking personal items home. This is so strange.

Go Tigers!!! Beat Kentucky!!!

Come January I got 9 more years in a UPS truck. I will retire at age 62 with 44 years at the company.

Good luck. My next door neighbor had to retire fron there earlier than he wanted due to knee and back isses. Obviously a physically demanding job. You must've traveled a few times around the earth in 44 years.

Get ready to do what you want, how you want and whenever you want. Everyday will be a vacation day. I shot my alarm clock first thing. Enjoy every day, every minute.

Getting a breakfast group of guys for 1 day a week. Another group playing golf one day a week. My wife and I will be doing many things as well as visiting our 1.5 year old grandson in Anderson regularly.

That’s awesome, get busy having fun . I retired early, but have found all my peers are still working, so I kept working part-time. I still pretty much do what I want every day, and it’s awesome.

You are going to LOVE it! I retired January 1 and we went to Alaska over the summer, I found a group of guys to play golf with one day a week, we keep one of our granddaughters one day a week and I’ve been hunting this fall more than any other year. I go visit my family in Charleston often. Bought a kayak and went to Jocassee some and we did several local waterfall hikes in the spring. When the weather isn’t good, I go to the gym up to 3 mornings a week. It’s a great thing. You’ve earned it - it will soon be time to enjoy it!

I’m pretty far away. About 20% there with my nest egg. Can’t wait, though.

Happy retirement Pig, in 66 days. For myself, I have four and a half years until my daughter graduates Clemson, before I can think about it. I will be 63 then. And ready!!

Go Tigers!

It all depends on what's more important to you. You will make the decision that's best for YOU. Don't let anyone else influence YOUR decision.

I’ve been trying. When you retire you can hunt any day of the week.
