We need to pull for the coots in football.

We are of course screwed under the new playoff system.
BUT if the coots win their division and the SEC championship game and Clemson has already beaten them in our Thanksgiving game---we would have to be selected to the playoffs.
Even possibly with one loss on our part to someone else.

USC has traditionally had very high SOS since joining the SEC...especially during the 2000s. They have had higher SOS than CU for like 80% of the past 10-15 seasons, according to all the online sources....

I for one will be pulling for the coots...to win 6th place in the SEC. They don't have a ring for that yet. It'll be a nice addition to their already pathetic wardrobe.

everyone is freaking out way too much about this playoff system. If we go undeafeted we will be in it, but we haven't done that since 1981 so lets not get ahead of ourselves. South Carolina winning just makes it harder to recruit our area. It is beneficial to Clemson if UGA and South Carolina are both bad.

rationality seldom wins out over emotion.
I have not seen a single post that refutes the idea that if the coots win the SEC and we beat them and lose no more that one game, we would go to the playoffs and maybe win another NC.
