NET fails as evaluation tool

The NET has been shown to be a grossly faulty instrument. Firstly, it gives equal weight to early season losses to inferior teams as compared to late season great wins against tournament teams on their own court. Secondly, it encourages a superior team to run up the score against an outmanned team from a lower conference. Thirdly, the people doing the evaluating are ##%!!@i idiots.

The Schedule Did Us In

The schedule with the weak teams early hurt under this NET math. I don't know the answer to this question, but was CBB completely responsible for the nonconference schedule or were there others with considerable influence?

Our early season games have sucked for years, especially anything at home. Fans have complained about this but especially the season ticket holders. Nothing to get excited about at for home games prior to Christmas except maybe the Big10 challenge if we are home that year. And last year the ACC pushed an early conference match but besides that the home games prior to the start of conference play just sux.

So teams like Loyola MD, Loyola Chicago, Bellarmine, Towson, Benedict, etc., is laughable but then we lose to 1-2 of these teams. Who wants to buy tix or season tix to watch games like this. I wouldn't even know where these schools are except Loyola is nice enough to add the city to their name.

Its time for a change. Let's get serious about bball and quit paying $3mil+ for a coach that does the same stuff every year.

Get a competitive coached team that doesn't lose to 300 ranked teams, but let's get a coach that doesn't stack the season with crappy schools on the schedule. If we play better schools the extra tix sold because fans actually want to watch would pay for CBB's buyout.

You know its bad when the head coach of major college gets very little fanfare when they become the winningest coach ever and has most ACC wins ever and the school doesn't celebrate these accomplishments.
