Nebraska actually won the 1981 national championship

The Retro active pollsters at the National Championship Foundation named 5 co-Champions for the 1981 season.
Clemson, Nebraska, Pitt, Texas and Southern Methodist.
This is the same organization that schools all over the country (SEC) are using to add national championship banners.
Alabama has added 4 championships because of this i think
Georgia added one a few years ago and Ironically enough A&M added 2 more championships in between going from the Big 2 to the SEC.

Should we just say everyone who played hard and competed are 'champions'? This sounds like nonsense to me.

That does it then. I think Clemson is deserving of the 1900, 1906, 1948, 1950, 1981 and 1983 Championships.
Until these other bogus titles are renounced by schools Clemson is a 6 Time National Champion.

I can't tell you about the A&M teams from 1917 and 1919. Dana X Bible was the coach and both teams were undefeated and I scored upon. The 1919 team was actually awarded the NC back in 1919, but the school refused to recognize it due to the 1917 team being snubbed. Recently, the school changed their mind on recognizing that championship team and also decided to recognize the 1917 team after they were retroactively awarded it.

the CU coaching booth once they had the lead and the commentator saying he had talked to the coaches and there was no way Nebraska could score enough on our D to come back. Very true and look at the Neb team. LOts of guys who had very long pro careers. No slouches there

I remember the TV commentators saying, "Tom Osborne said this is the best Nebraska team he had ever had" That's another confirmation of why there were "No Slouches" also. GO TIGERS!!!

BS... Nebraska was ranked #4 for that game. Numbers 2 and 3

both lost their bowl games. Clemson was the only undefeated team remaining. To claim that others also won is pure BS and stinks badly.
